Wordpress Tutorial: Wordpress Video Tutorial Benefits

A Wordpress tutorial is the best way to learn how to use Wordpress, and a Wordpress video tutorial makes it even easier to understand the concept involved in Wordpress blogging.

If you are new to blogging, you will find out that there are several options that you can take for your blog, the two most popular being Blogger and Wordpress. Another is Drupal that is discussed elsewhere on this website but Drupal is more of a Content Management System that allows you to design and build your own blogging system, and that requires a bit more learning than either Blogger or Wordpress. It offers more options, but you have to understand how to use the software.

A Wordpress tutorial, on the other hand, is simple to follow, particularly a Wordpress video tutorial. However, let’s first have a look at Blogger and also the two forms of Wordpress

Blogger

Blogger is a blogging system operated by Google. Most people use it from Google's blog hosting service, BlogSpot, and all you have to do is set up an account, choose a template and off you go. You can also run Blogger from your own website, as you can Wordpress.

Many people need advice as to which is better: Wordpress or Blogger. I personally prefer Wordpress, but don't take my word for it. Check out this forum: I have no idea what it will say from day to day, so you can be sure of a completely independent viewpoint:

Search Engine Watch Forum

Search Engine Watch is one of the most respected independent sites online, and their views are completely truthful and without bias. Judge for yourself from the forum posts: these are made from people who have, in the main, tried both and have come to a decision as to whether they will use Blogger or Wordpress as their blog of choice.

Hosted or Host Your Own?

Most comments made on Search Engine watch will likely be by people who have use both the Blogger and Wordpress hosting services and are comparing them. Some, however, will also have tried running their blog from their own website. I am not completely sure what you will read, because, as I said, it is a live forum, and the posts I read when I put the link on this page will be different to what you will see.

Here is the difference between the options:

Hosted: Your blog is hosted by either Google or by Wordpress from their own hosting service. You have very limited customizing opportunities, if any, and generally cannot use any of the templates available online.

There have been arguments whether or not Google claim ownership of the content on your Blogger blog: Google do no such thing, and you retain all copyright on the content you post on your Blogger blog. The same is true of Wordpress, who also offer their blog freely hosted from their own site.

Hosted Yourself: By hosting your own blog you can make use of all the templates and plugins that are available online. Since Wordpress offer infinitely better customizing options than Blogger, I advise you to use Wordpress if you want to run your own blog from your own website, and an easy-to-follow Wordpress tutorial will be essential to ensure that your Wordpress blog looks and feels professional and meets all the needs of both you and those that follow your blog.

Not only does the blog look better, but you can also give it a URL that looks a lot better than any that Blogger or wordpress will allow you to use from their own hosted service. There are many plugins available to you, such as automatic SEO plugins that optimize each blog for the search engines, and pinging services that will ping your blog to Technorati and any other bookmarking and social networking site of your choice. You choose it, and the plugin will ping it and update your post to any site that you want.

There are also thousands of templates and themes online that can you can use for your blog, many free and many paid for. You get what you want, but I use free ones and then modify them with my own graphics and add a column or remove one as it suits the purpose of the Wordpress blog.

Wordpress Video Tutorial

Our wordpress tutorial will show you how to host your own blog. The Wordpress video tutorial will show you graphically how to ftp the software to your website, and how to set it up. It is not easy without a video to show you how to do it, but as with any of my video tutorials, they are easy to follow and if you do exactly as you see, you cannot go wrong.

That might sound like 'famous last words' - 'cannot go wrong', but in fact it is that simple. You can pause the video while you follow what is being done, and then start it again till you re-watch the next action. If you miss something, you can rewind it using your mouse to draw the play icon back a bit.

I have never had anybody inform me that they found the Wordpress tutorials to be difficult to follow, but if you need extra help then I will be pleased to help, personally, by email. Just email me and state your problem, and I will help either by email, over Skype if you have it or by telephone. I will pay the phone bill by calling your number.

Wordpress is, in my view, the best of all blog options available to most people. Given a choice, however, I would choose to design my own using Drupal and d The Gimp. Drupal is a CMS (content management system) that can be used to design blogs in PHP, and The Gimp is a fabulous free graphics software package that make your designs look professional and attract ,many readers and customers.

I sell video tutorial for both on this website, but you don't necessarily need these if you are happy with any of the free Wordpress templates/themes available online.

My Wordpress Tutorials is used by lots of people to get their own blog successfully onto their website, and my Wordpress video tutorial costs only $17.

Blogs are regarded as being the most productive online entities that you can use to make money. Traditional websites are still important, but are slowly losing ground to blogs and social networking sites such as MySpace, YouTube and Twitter as means of advertising products.

However, blogs are also extremely useful as communication medium, much more so than a traditional website. However, while you can use a website from which to launch your blog, and a tradition web hosting service from which to project it, you will need a good Wordpress tutorial to ensure that you have set up everything correctly and a Wordpress video tutorial is the best way to do that.
